Riobamba museum "La Concepcion"

                                                A collection of religious figures from the colonial era is shown in the Convent of Concepción Museum.

The most important is the custody of Riobamba, which is 200 years old. This piece was made of solid gold and silver. It is also adorned with emeralds, pearls, diamonds and other jewels. In this museum you will be able to admire the art, discover the faith of our peoples and receive the good news of the truths, religious and human values in which we all believe.

It is a museum of religious art, belongs to the convent of the Mothers Conceptas; It is one of the historical, cultural and religious gems of ancient Riobamba.

The population opted to build the new town in a safer place, redundándose the city in 1799 on the site it occupies today. One of the first buildings to be raised was the great House in which the new convent of the Franciscan receptionists was established.

The museum was founded in 1980 in a section of the convent, a sector that was previously retouched, preserving its original image completely.

The new contributions consisted of the adequacy of two patios where stone fountains, benches and cobble floors were added.
